The cabins have basic utensils and a kitchenette, but no staples like salt or oil. The water was surprisingly hot, so take care, and since the curtains don’t block everything, I’d recommend eye patches for sleeping. The setting by the lake is peaceful and quiet, with swimming and plenty of parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s also within easy reach of central Svolvaer, the shops, and the hike to Djevelporten.

There weren’t many people around in May. We parked on tarmac, with a nice view of the lake, and the setting was quiet. The showers were good, there’s a kitchen area to use if needed, and town is an easy walk away. I’d come back. At 425 NOK, it’s relatively expensive compared with other sites, but the location is good.

For 400 NOK a night, I expected much better, especially when nearby campsites charged only 220 NOK and had better facilities. The kitchen has no trash bin and just one sink for washing dishes, which isn’t acceptable at this price. There are only two showers and two toilets for women. They’re semi-shared, so there’s little comfort or privacy. The showers are poorly maintained, and the water doesn’t drain properly, leaving the room flooded.

I was in cabin 1 at the end of the row, and I’d definitely book this cozy cabin again. We all slept downstairs, where there was plenty of room. The upper deck is cozy, though the roof leaves limited space above the head of the bed. All the appliances worked fine, but the stove is installed in a really awkward, almost funny spot. The innkeeper’s tone was a bit stern.
