The toilet situation is another issue: now you have to walk quite a long way to the camping to use one. We arrived by boat and found the kitchen more or less closed because of capacity problems. They only told us after we’d paid the Harbour fee. I know the hotel is being renovated, but the whole thing really sucks. We won’t dock here next time.

Breakfast came with a fantastic view, and the food was good. The hotel was clean and comfortable, in a quiet, secluded spot, with friendly staff. Check-in was quick and easy. There was plenty of parking, although it isn’t free. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms worked well for children, with no need to childproof before unpacking.

The apartment was roomy and good, but the hotel had no way to feed its guests. The restaurant was fully booked, and the outdoor bar and restaurant only had drinks. Staff couldn’t suggest anywhere to eat. Luckily, we had a car and drove to Tønsberg. With good weather, lots of guests, and a long holiday, the management should have had food available and people working. They should be ashamed. This almost ruined our weekend.

I stayed here for one night on 28.05 and was bitten by a bed bug. My fiancé and I emailed the hotel afterward to let them know about the lack of cleaning in the bedroom, but we didn’t even get a simple, polite reply. It’s sad that the staff don’t seem to care about the hotel’s condition. I really hope this doesn’t happen to another guest.

The staff are really nice, and the food is very good. I’m here with friends and their kids, and it’s a great place for a vacation. I’d definitely stay again whenever I come to Tjøme and end of world, and I really recommend visiting and staying here.
