My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the ground floor had a cozy shared space and kitchen that made the hotel feel like a family home. The rate was competitive with other city hotels. It's close to the city center, up on a hill with a nice view, but there's a long stairway down to town that can get slippery in snow. I was supposed to get the entry and room codes by email on check-in day, but they never arrived for some reason. I booked through Agoda, so perhaps the codes went to Agoda's email instead. Luckily, I got there at 6pm, when the hotel's northern lights tour was picking up guests. The guide, who worked at the hotel, let me in and found my room code.

The staff were so warm and ready to help, and everything was spotless. It’s a family-friendly place just steps from the center, and I’ve never felt so well looked after at a hotel. You also get free drinks, laundry facilities, and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking whatever you like. Other hotels charge for everything, even the air you breathe. 10 out of 10, I'll be back!

The guest kitchen downstairs was a highlight, especially the free drinks machine, and the service was really friendly. Rooms are nice and modest, with a small, simple bathroom that does the job. It’s beside bus stops and an easy walk from the city center, with a great view of the fjords.

We arrived late in the evening with no reservation after missing our boat to a hotel in another city, and they welcomed us without any trouble. The staff were respectful and spoke English fluently. Our room was cozy and comfortable. I'll always remember that evening here, it warmed me inside. A strong 10/10.

We spent one night here because it was a convenient base for the excellent Arctic Circle tours northern lights tour. It was good value, and the room was spotless. The place was very quiet, and while the beds were small, they were comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. We had a nice view from the 2nd floor. I'd stay again.
