Hotel Bhaktapur Inn

The rooftop could use some improvement, though the view from it is excellent. The staff were excellent too, and the hotel is very accessible, close to Durbar Square and the bus stop.

It’s very close to the sights, but tucked down a quiet little street. The room was lovely, very clean, spacious, and had lots of room, including a small balcony. The bed was huge and comfortable, with a big mattress and nice blankets. The staff were very friendly, and we really enjoyed our stay. For the price, it’s one of the best options. We’d definitely come back.

The best thing here was the friendly house staff, especially the house boy. Breakfast was good, though the floors were dusty. A family lives upstairs, and their children move around the stairwell in the morning. You can hear the noise in every room below. I stayed five nights with friends, then needed to add one more. The owner asked me to switch rooms for the last night, even though I’d booked the same room category. It was similar in size, but lacked a TV and water kettle. The shower head didn’t work properly, there was a noisy washing machine next door, and the airflow wasn’t as good as in my original room on a higher floor. One update I hadn’t known: an 1800 NPR ticket is required for the whole old city and is valid for seven days. In past years, it only covered the innermost part of the city. Decent stay overall, with room for improvement.
