I had a fantastic view from my top-floor room, so ask for one looking over the square. Kailash, the manager, was friendly and very helpful, and the food was great. I'd recommend staying here for a night or two in Bhaktapur. Bring ear plugs, as barking dogs at night seem inevitable across Nepal.

We didn't stay at the hotel, just ate in the restaurant. The decor was lovely, and I liked the books about Nepal and Bhaktapur. The Nepali thali won us over, with its well-cooked vegetables and lighter oil and spice. Try the masala papad and Nepali thali.

I stayed for two nights. The host was really friendly and even let me use his computer for some work. The food was good and arrived quickly for me.
