Barahi Jungle Lodge

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful forest setting, and the soft bed and delicious nighttime snacks were a treat. One evening there was a complimentary dinner outside, which felt romantic and especially nice for couples. We also tried the Ayurvedic oil massage. The room was beautiful and the experience interesting, though it seemed more suited to relaxation than easing back and shoulder tension, as a Thai massage might. This was our first jungle lodge, and the area beside Chitwan National Park was stunning. On our first evening we spotted rhinos and a crocodile in the distance, which made arriving feel special. The staff were attentive, spoke English very well, and made things easy. Breakfast was the best we had in Nepal, with a wide range of high-quality options. The safari we booked through the hotel cost quite a bit more than the ones offered outside. We spent the whole day without seeing rhinos close up, only through binoculars from far away. I know wildlife sightings can’t be promised, but it was disappointing given the price and the area’s reputation for a good chance of seeing rhinos. We’d travelled a long way hoping to see them. Even so, the stay was memorable and enjoyable, and the accommodation felt like a wonderful five-star place.

Jeetu dai, Govinda dai, sanjana bahini, and all the naturalists made our stay so special. Govinda dai speaks Chinese so well, and everyone was just wonderful. The staff are what stood out most: always smiling, warm, and ready to help or guide us. They even happily took lovely photos at beautiful spots like Sundowner point. The service was already there before we had to ask for anything. Honestly, this is one of the best resorts I’ve experienced, and I’d rate it 11/10. This is a heartfelt, genuine review.

The morning boat safari was pure magic, with gorgeous scenery and a wonderful breakfast by the river afterwards. We also joined several other excursions, and the food was excellent throughout. Every meal felt like fine dining. Barahi Jungle Lodge sits in a peaceful spot right by the river, with elegant rooms and a beautiful pool area. The lodge itself is lovely. The staff took care of everything from the warm welcome to the heartfelt goodbye, often seeming to know what we needed before we said it. The General Manager was around and personally made sure everything ran smoothly, which added something special to our stay. For us, it’s easily the number one place to stay in Chitwan, with luxury, nature, and heartfelt hospitality all together. An unforgettable stay.

The food was so delicious, and we absolutely loved our JP and boat guide, SUDIKCHYA. From the atmosphere to the service, everything was top notch. It really felt like home, and we’d definitely come back.
