After checking out all the hotels and guest houses, I couldn't find anywhere comparable to Palpa Durbar. The staff are lovely and will do anything for you. Rooms are spotless, with tasteful, understated interiors, and the rooftop has great views at sunrise and sunset. The best place in Tansen.

This semi-premium hotel sits right in the center of town. It has recently changed management, and the new team led by Mr. Sanam is doing an excellent job. I only stayed one night, but I plan to return in two months with a few friends.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the stay felt really cozy. The staff were good too. Only downside was that hot water wasn't available, so I took off a star.

The hotel is close to the main Durbar in beautiful hilltop Palpa Tansen. Rooms are good, the bathrooms are clean, and they provide a room heater.

The building is well kept and the rooms are cozy. I was disappointed that they don't have master beds.
