The WiFi is strong throughout, the staff are polite and helpful, and breakfast had a good selection. When it wasn't busy, they offered to make whatever you wanted. The rooms are nice, but there's no soundproofing, so you can hear everything in the corridor and nearby rooms. At 0530 on Sunday, loud music started from somewhere, maybe the restaurant downstairs, and woke me up. Hot water took about 10 minutes to get vaguely warm, even on the hottest setting, then went scalding after around five minutes. I'm not sure if low occupancy and lack of use had anything to do with it. The AC/heating didn't seem particularly efficient either. I couldn't find a safe in the room, though neither of the hotels I've stayed at in Nepal had one. It's OK for a one night stop, but I wouldn't recommend it as a longer term base. I stayed because my trip organiser recommended it, as they have an office there.

The 5th-floor hall has room for around 30-40 people, and the traditional design of both the hall and reception is eye-catching to foreign visitors. Every year, the Nepal Esperanto Association holds the opening programmes for the International Himalayan Excursion and International Himalayan Rencontizon at this hotel.

I was very happy with the room upgrade, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were always nice and helpful. I didn't eat here, though others said breakfast was nice. I stayed before and after a hiking trip and really can't complain about anything.

The rooms were neat and clean, the food was good, and their local tea was especially nice. I had an amazing three-night stay at Hotel Marshyangdi and received good quality service, apart from housekeeping, with some room amenities missing.

The location is great, with the main market starting as soon as you step outside, and the staff are courteous. The rooms are small and cramped, the heater didn't work, and breakfast had a limited spread with few options.
