Kumari Guest House

We only stayed three nights, and I was sorry when it was time to go. The owners were really helpful, and the location made it easy to get between the town's two main squares. The room was beautifully furnished and decorated, kept very clean, and had a strong hot shower. Probably the best value hotel I've stayed in in Nepal.

The reception team made me feel welcome right away and were so helpful. As a solo traveler from 🇧🇩, I really enjoyed staying at Kumari Guest House. Its rooms have a traditional feel that suits the city, and it's a great base for visiting Bhaktapur’s heritage sites.

I’d happily recommend Kumari Guest House to anyone visiting Bhaktapur. The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with a large, clean bathroom, excellent hot water, and great wifi. The recently renovated place was well maintained, and the helpful staff kept everything clean and comfortable. It’s right in the historic Bhaktapur district.

The rooftop was a highlight, with a lovely view and a stunning sunrise. Its breakfast setting was great, too. We also bought dinner and coffee at their coffee shop, and they conveniently served the meal in the guesthouse dining room. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed three nights, and they cleaned the toilet daily as we requested. The room and toilet were clean, though the facilities felt a little old. The room itself was clean, and the location was perfect. Hot water was a problem when I returned late. I wondered if it was solar heated, since there was none left for a shower, and the cloudy, lightly rainy morning brought no hot water either. If you can, shower before sunset. I also think the carpet could be replaced with floorboards. Foreigners need to pay an entry fee because the property is inside Bhaktapur's old town. The listing says certain rooms have a sitting area and that there is a gift shop. Kathmandu is 11.3 km away, Nagarkot is 9.7 km away, and Tribhuvan Airport is 6.9 km from the property.
