Hotel Dinesh

Everything you need is within walking distance, and it felt like a safe place. There’s no view, but the courtyard is a nice spot to rest or hang out with friends when you have time. The room is small, but fine for sleeping and good for the price. The team isn’t very organized, though they’re friendly and will try to arrange things if you ask. Rice and roti are available, while getting anything else can be a little difficult.

The roof has a great view, the lobby sitting area is very nice, and the location feels safe, though walking alone at night could be a problem. The market closes around 9 pm, and it gets dark, so walking around then doesn’t feel very safe. Inside, the team treated me like a very special guest, from the manager and receptionists to security and the tea boy. They answered my questions, explained how to get places, and served a fantastic complimentary breakfast that was different every day. The shower had hot water and the AC worked well. They kept my luggage when my flight was in the evening and arranged a taxi. My single room had an extra bed and was large enough for a family. I’m one happy customer, and I’ll definitely return. As they say in Nepal, “ONCE IS NOT ENOUGH”. Good value for money.

The room was basic but clean, and I liked both the location and the cleanliness. It’s one of the popular hotels in Dhangadi. Most rooms have a small balcony where you can sit back, drink, or smoke. Wi-Fi didn’t work well in our room, and basic rooms cost NPR 1500+. It’s a good option for office meetings, residential training, and group stays.

The only good part of my stay was the hot shower on the first morning. The front desk staff and security guard were unprofessional. At 9:30 pm, the guard brought someone to knock on my door and ask if I was some Vineet. The person asked as if he were a policeman or a goon. The food was just average, with nothing special about it. Hotel Dinesh could be renamed Dinesh lodge.
