Basera Boutique Hotel - Kathmandu's Hidden Escape

The restaurants were fabulous and very reasonably priced, and the rooms were a really good size. It’s a small, cosy hotel with high standards for service and cleanliness. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and we were happy with everything. Our original hotel was The Hyatt, which had been damaged in the riots a few months before we arrived, and we couldn’t have asked for a better alternative. If noise bothers you, ask for a room away from the service lift. A lovely little gem away from the busy tourist center, highly recommended.

I stay at Basera Boutique Hotel regularly because the personal touches keep bringing me back. Smriti at the front desk is always friendly and professional, and makes check-in easy. The team makes me feel like a VIP and goes the extra mile to get things right. Rooms are consistently clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The restaurant is excellent too, with a good mix of local and western dishes that never disappoints. Highly recommend for comfort, quality, and genuine hospitality in Kathmandu.

My first time at Basera Boutique Hotel was perfect. The dining was top-notch, the staff made an extra effort to welcome me, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. Highly recommend for great service and delicious food.

The jacuzzi bathtub was the best part of the stay. Breakfast was less enjoyable: the food tasted quite average and not salty enough, as if it had mainly been made for foreigners. We ordered masala dosa, but the peanut and tomato chutney smelled bad, as though it had been prepared a long time earlier.
