Capital O 338 Yellow Pagoda Hotel

We ended up at the Yellow Pagoda Hotel by luck after the other hotel we'd booked overbooked us and the booking service sent us here. The staff made that sudden change stress free, helping us get to and from the teaching events we'd come to Kathmandu for. Night manager Sagar was especially kind and professional about arranging a taxi back when I needed one. Day manager Santos was wonderful too, always meeting our requests with warmth. The cleaning staff were kind and started leaving extra water in our rooms when they learned we liked to stay hydrated. Our room was spacious, lovely, well kept, and felt quite posh to return to. The location is nice, just outside Thamel, a historic, spiritually significant and trendy neighborhood with plenty of shopping and good food. It's also roughly between the Bouudhanath and Swayambunath stupas, an easy 15 or 20 minute taxi ride from either. My mom and I loved our 20 day stay so much that I'm giving a second 5-star review. It felt like our Kathmandu home, and we'll 100% come back on our next visit. We're looking forward to being treated like family again. Thank you, Yellow Pagoda Hotel and staff!
