It has a rustic, heritage feel, and although the old buildings are kept clean and well maintained, the structures themselves are quite old. Our room was spacious. The manager and staff are friendly and professional, and the place feels welcoming, almost like home. I loved the tea and coffee. Breakfast was a bit repetitive with its English breakfast, so we asked for alternatives and got to try delicious homemade aloo puri.

I've been returning for nearly 15 years, and in 24/25 alone I've stayed three times. I wouldn't choose anywhere else. The Courtyard feels like coming back to family, with the owner Pujan welcoming everyone and making each person feel special. It's a peaceful oasis with interesting people, and the rooms are beautiful, large, and clean.

The quiet green courtyard, with sofas and ping-pong, is a lovely escape from the noise of Thamel. This beautiful, super cozy hotel sits in the heart of Thamel in Kathmandu, in an old palace of Newar tradition. There's a great restaurant, a movie theater, and a library, too. The staff feel like one big family and make you feel at home. I hope I can return soon.

Even with the bustle of Thamel around it, the hotel is a quiet oasis. The rooms are generous and the service is excellent. It was a great place to stay and made our Kathmandu visit even nicer. Recommended!

I've stayed three times and would go back in a flash. The owners Michelle and Pujan are wonderful, and their fab living room is a place to meet lots of interesting people. Best hotel ever.
