Dahachok Homestay

You can relax here without much disturbance, and the scenery is lovely while you wait for food. The menu is limited and orders can take a while. Meals feel quite expensive, though room rates are moderate, and the service was impressive. It’s a peaceful, cheerful place, as long as you follow the moral rules and keep your expectations reasonable. There may not be local vehicles available, but you can get around by taxi, cab, or motorbike. I’d recommend a visit if you want to enjoy the setting.

Birdsong woke us early, and the calm surroundings and typical Nepali food made us feel nostalgic. We chose Dahachok Homestay for ten days in Kathmandu, for our vacation and a family gathering. Mr Gautam arranged our airport pickup, and we stayed in a family triple room on the rooftop. It was amazing. My wife wanted to stay a few more days, but our schedule was too tight. Thank you, Mr Wagle, for a lovely stay.

The best part was spending time with local people. I had a package that included a driver for pickups and drop-offs whenever I needed one. Gautam's family were lovely, and I also spent time with some neighbours and visited a nearby school. The homestay was tidy, my room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable. There was a bathroom with a hot shower and wifi too. It’s in a quiet village, away from traffic noise and pollution, and I had a great time.

We spent Friday and Saturday night here, and took a short walk through the hills and dense forest. The green surroundings, room, and food made for a really pleasant stay. It was an amazing experience. Thanks so much, Wagle family, for your warm hospitality.
