Flying Yak Kathmandu

The free coffee and tea were a lovely extra. This hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming, which made my stay comfortable. The location worked especially well for me because it’s very close to the club and nearby place. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere clean, comfortable and convenient.

Raj Bhai personally arranged my whole trip covering Kathmandu and Pokhara, including the mountain flight. It was planned and carried out smoothly, so the trip was stress-free. The owner, Raj Bhai, and his wife are warm, humble and welcoming, and made me feel at home from the first day. Bikash Bhai, Rajan Bhai, didi, and driver Bhairav Bhai were friendly, supportive and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality felt genuine, and I trusted them completely. Flying Yak, Kathmandu is a comfortable, trustworthy place to stay, and I’d recommend it to solo travelers and others looking for caring, reliable people.

I stayed here before and after my mountain trek. It’s a very nice hotel/hostel in Thamel, with friendly staff, clean rooms and hot showers that work. Lots of key stores and agencies are nearby. I’ll come back.

The backpacker community made my solo trip special. The vibe was so good I never missed my usual company or friends. Flying Yak gave me a lovely, memorable stay, with sweet hosts who went out of their way to make it feel like home. The hospitality was a perfect 10/10, and my cozy room felt like a little sanctuary. A great mix of comfort and connection.
