Fuji Hotel

The staff were very nice and helpful, but the rooms feel ancient. The blue LED lighting is like being in a factory, the curtains don’t block the light, and there’s no outlet by the bed, just one down the wall. There’s good WiFi in the lobby, but it isn’t provided throughout the hotel for guests. In this day and age, that’s worth no more than one star.

The reception team and the staff serving breakfast in the kitchen were friendly. I felt warm and comfortable during my stay.

I stayed here both before and after a trip to Everest Base Camp. The location is great, tucked away from Thamel’s hustle and bustle, and the staff were helpful and accommodating whenever I needed them. The buffet breakfast was nice, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and adequate. During my first stay, the shower wasn’t the best. WiFi was good, though the connection in our room wasn’t great that first time, probably because it was farther from the router. It worked excellently in the communal areas. I don’t have anything bad to say about the hotel.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. We spent a few enjoyable nights here, including having tea on the fifth-floor terrace. The staff were always welcoming and kind, which made the place feel like home. Depending on your floor, you may hear some street noise.
