After the long bus ride, I waited over an hour just to get in. I’d called two days before and told the guy I’d arrive early, at 5 AM. He said that was fine and welcomed me. But at the door, no one answered the bell or my repeated calls for 15 minutes. When he finally appeared, he said he’d been asleep. Upstairs, he then told me the rate had gone up by 200 rupees per night for tourist season, which he hadn’t mentioned before. I said I’d pay the original price or leave. He told me to go, so I did. Other guests saw what happened and asked him about it; he called me “troublesome.” I might have let the wait and sudden price increase go, but after that comment, I felt I had to write this. I quickly found somewhere much better and even cheaper, without the reeking sewage smell or lying staff.

I don’t usually leave feedback, but this hotel earned it. The room, toilet, and beds were all clean, and the bed was comfortable. There was free water and good Wi-Fi, too. I didn’t expect the food to be so good, but it was clean and healthy, and the chicken rice was awesome. They treated me like family and were really friendly. Worth every penny. Love from Pokhara ❤️ I’ll definitely stay here whenever I visit Kathmandu.

The guest house has stunning views from up top, and the prices are good. Paslang and his family took great care of me. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Kathmandu.

A calm place run by a very nice family who open their home to guests. The rooms and building were clean, and they cook good food as well. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the center and 10 minutes on foot to the monkey temple.
