Kwabahal Boutique hostel

The team made everything easy beyond just arranging a bed. They kept some of my luggage safe while I was trekking and helped sort out taxis when I needed them. They also pointed me to reliable trekking gear rental places, which turned out to be excellent. I booked my Annapurna Base Camp trek through the hostel, and it was fantastic. Everything was organized well, and the guide was professional, knowledgeable and great company. The staff were consistently warm and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well maintained, and the downstairs garden was a great spot to unwind and eat. Such a welcoming place to stay.

We ended up sick during our seven nights here, and the staff made a difficult stretch feel much calmer. They helped arrange a hospital visit and were flexible when we needed to extend our trip. That rooftop café was a highlight, a nice place for morning coffee with a city view. I also appreciated the strong Wi-Fi and how clean everything was. The rooms were spotless and cozy, with a lovely design that mixes modern comfort and a traditional Nepali touch. Kwabahal Boutique Hostel is tucked into a peaceful part of Thamel but close to everything. The staff were always helpful, polite and friendly. It felt like a home away from home, and I'd recommend it to solo travelers, backpackers or anyone after comfort, style and warm hospitality in Kathmandu.

The people alone make this a place I'd recommend. Everyone from reception to the restaurant team was attentive and friendly. You're right in central Thamel, and I felt safe walking around both day and night. There were plenty of (Moto)Taxi options too.
