Mandap Hotel

The food was bland and nowhere near worth what they charged. There are better places in Thamel for the same money or less. We only came in because the man outside told us it was 50% off, and we checked with him a couple of times. At the bill, he said it was 15%, which was total BS. He got rude, shouted, waved his hands in our faces, and made a scene when we questioned him. Really bad customer service. We were the only customers when we arrived, and I can see why. Worst food we had in Kathmandu. Don’t eat here!

My salad was tasty and a good-sized portion, and the herbal tea was hot and delicious, just what I needed. The restaurant has a relaxing feel, with seating indoors or outside, and the service was excellent. I’d definitely suggest Hotel Mandap Restaurant.

The outdoor restaurant at this hotel was gorgeous, and such a peaceful spot to have a meal while busy thamel was going on around me. The menu is large, probably something for all tastes, and the food came out vvv quickly, which is unusual for the area. The staff were really sweet and kind. Thanks for an afternoon free of Kathmandu hassle 💗

I've stayed at Hotel Mandap and used the restaurant regularly, but my last visit was disappointing. Around 9pm on Fri,28th Oct 2022, the person at the cafe was rude and unfriendly while taking my order, and ignored my questions. Mr. Keshav used to be there and was very nice, a really good natured person. The breakfast was really good.
