The rooftop restaurant was a highlight for me. I could see Monkey Temple from there, and really enjoyed sitting with coffee and food. Everything felt peaceful, and the traditional style added to that feeling. My room was clean and quiet, and I felt comfortable from the first day of my two-night stay at Newa Home. The food was fresh and tasty, and the staff were kind and respectful. They helped whenever I needed something. Owner Nikesh was especially helpful when I needed to send some things back to my country. He came with me, explained the process, and helped get everything sent properly. He’s knowledgeable and kind, and made me feel looked after and safe. People like him are rare. As a female guest, feeling secure mattered a lot to me, and I did feel safe here. I left smiling and truly recommend Newa Home.

My room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the rooftop was a lovely spot to relax at the bar. The owner, Nikesh, was fantastic, very kind and full of advice about good places to go. Kathmandu is easy to explore from this quiet, cozy place on the edge of Thamel, away from the usual city honking. Thank you so much, Nikesh!

The rooftop at Newa Home was a highlight, especially at sunset, when you can see Monkey Temple. I spent 3 nights there in Kaldhara, Thamel, Kathmandu and felt safe and at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely traditional feel. Fresh, tasty food, too, and the staff were kind, respectful, and always ready to help. Nikesh, the owner, went out of his way for me. Since I had dollars, he took me on his bike to exchange them for rupees, and he arranged a 2 day car rental as well. Everything went smoothly. I’d absolutely recommend Newa Home to anyone visiting Kathmandu. Room: 10/10 Food: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Staff: 10/10

We had a lovely stay, and the terrace was such a beautiful spot. The little cafe inside the hotel served great food. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful. 5/5.

The room decor was lovely, though I really wished it had a window. The host was friendly and the service was great. There’s a small cafe on the ground floor, handy if you’d rather eat there than in your room. Smoking isn’t allowed in rooms, so you need to go out to the lobby. Cozy and affordable.
