Nivas Boutique Home

We stayed here on the first night of our 9 day Langtang Valley tour with Trekking Guide Team Adventures, and it was lovely to return for the last night. The room was comfortable and clean, and the roof had an awesome view. We could safely leave our bags here during the trek. The Hotel manager was incredibly kind and helpful, and spoke great English. Restaurants and shops in Thamel are within a reasonable walk.

We had a great experience at Nivas and would happily return. Breakfast was substantial and served on the rooftop, with beautiful mountain views. On our last day we had to leave early, and the staff packed takeaway containers full of breakfast goodies so we wouldn’t go hungry. Rosina at reception was an extraordinary host, very attentive and friendly to talk with, and helped with all our questions and requests. Another lovely staff member stepped in when she wasn’t there and kindly walked us to the busstop on our final morning. From arrival, the whole team were welcoming, professional, and friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a cute balcony that was nice for morning coffee. We highly recommend Nivas for a quality, comfortable stay in Kathmandu.

Namaste! I felt at home at Nivas Boutique Hotel thanks to the incredibly kind and helpful staff. They sorted out everything from local information to private transport, and even let me stay on half-board before my late flight, which was very convenient. My room was upgraded to a beautiful, spacious, spotless suite at no extra cost. The hotel’s Nepali decor adds a warm cultural feel, and I enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop. It’s a peaceful spot just a 10-minute walk from Thamel, close by but away from the bustle. Excellent stay, highly recommended. I’ll definitely return on my next visit to Nepal.

Great price for all this: a smart tv, AC, hot shower, bed, day bed, sofa, and balcony. The staff are amazing and breakfast is great. It’s 2 mins from the bus to Pokhara, 5 mins to thamel, and 15 to monkey temple. Perfect hotel!
