OYO 11468 Kathmandu Embassy Hotel

The rooms are spacious, but parking fits only one car. Food and breakfast are available only when you let them know in advance.

I stayed for a month and felt at home. The hotel is peaceful and quiet, with big, clean rooms and great food. The staff were amazingly helpful and nice, and the owner was on site making sure things ran smoothly. Service was amazing. It was a pleasure being here, and I’ll stay again when I return in December. Thank you, Kathmandu Embassy Hotel. Godbless you, and wishing you an amazing year. Blessings from Atlanta Georgia USA......

The staff were friendly and nice, but the place was quite dirty. On our first stay, the towels and bed sheets weren’t clean. The second time, we had to ask before they brought fresh linens, and we shouldn’t have needed to ask. Also, it doesn’t look like the pictures the hotel provides :/

We had a confirmation number, but the staff said we’d booked through OYO and should ask OYO for a room. They told us their hotel had no room for us and seemed not to understand or care about online booking confirmations. When we arrived at the hotel, a woman at reception asked us to wait in the lobby. After quite a while I asked what was happening. She said a group was coming and she’d decide then whether we could have a room. It was almost 7:30 pm. I asked for the room we’d booked through OYO, but she said she knew nothing about that booking and didn’t care about OYO 🙄🙄🙄. She offered us a lower-standard room for more than our booked rate, and said she was doing us a huge favor. A really awful experience.
