They asked me for money early in the morning to unlock the door when I needed to leave for an early flight. The people and service were awful. Please don't go, even if you're offered a free stay.

For the price, room 304 was a very good deal for a one-night stay. I doubt you'd find a better room at the same price in Sundhara. I didn't try the food or any other services, so I'm only judging the room.

The staff made a strong impression, always cheerful and helpful with taxis, local advice, and even a breakfast request. Breakfast had tasty, freshly prepared local and continental choices, and the rooftop was a pleasant spot for tea with a view across Kathmandu. Hotel Shree Guru is in Bagdurbar-11, Sundhara, close to Ratnapark and major transit links. It's convenient for tourists and business travelers, and felt safe and welcoming despite the busy central setting. My room was clean, well furnished, and quiet, with a comfortable bed and reliable hot showers. From arrival, the Nepali hospitality made me feel at home.
