The room itself was fine, but the service was so bad that I changed my later booking to another hotel. I had a free airport transfer included, yet staff told me to download inDrive and pay for one myself. Even after I showed them the booking, they still wanted extra money and didn't want to arrange it. Someone else at the desk eventually sorted it out. More than a week later, after I'd been away, they failed to collect me from the airport, despite confirming before I left and writing down my flight details. I also used the hotel's laundry for convenience. It took a day and a half, and my clothes were still wet when returned. The laundry bag was shredded, so I had to pack wet clothes for my flight. In Thamel, I could have paid half as much and had the laundry done in six hours. The air conditioning in my room was faulty. Reception sent someone promptly after I reported it, but they only power-cycled it, which I'd already tried. It ran for about 20 minutes, then shut off again. When I asked them to look again, they said they'd already sent someone and fixed it. There were no outside windows, so I couldn't get fresh air either. Several staff seemed like they didn't want to be there. When something on a booking said it was included or free, staff tried to charge for it. One morning at 4am, men shouting at each other woke me, along with what sounded like metal being thrown around. It sounded like work was happening inside the hotel. I had another booking here before heading home, but my travel agent moved me elsewhere because the service had been so poor. Even tea houses and one-star hostels gave me better service on this trip.
