The staff made this stay for us. Anisha and Bhavana kept the apartment spotless without fuss, and were lovely; at reception, Mamita, Anish and Nishan were friendly and ready to help, especially Anish. We stayed for a month, and the apartment worked well: roomy bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a useful kitchen, plenty of hot water, and fresh, crisp linen. The location was handy for Lalitpur and Kathmandu, traffic permitting. Akuj Cafe was a real highlight, with excellent coffee and fresh, generous portions. The other on-site restaurant didn’t suit our tastes, and a party there ran loudly well past its supposed 10pm finish. We also heard construction next door from 6am to 6pm, though that wasn’t the proprietor’s fault. The TV had no streaming, and the dated furniture wasn’t very comfortable, but it was promptly replaced when we asked. We’d happily come back once the building work is done.

Nishan deserves a special thank-you for going out of his way to make my stay feel exceptional. The service was excellent, and the location at Shaligram Residence was just right. The staff made me feel genuinely looked after. I had an amazing time and would highly recommend it.

The artwork around the hotel and grounds was lovely to look at, and the gym, sauna, pool, and hot tub were all just right. The cafe on the property had some of the best coffee and breakfast. Service was excellent throughout, and we can’t wait to come back.

Breakfast was a small fixed plate, and it took far too long to arrive. The room itself was nice, and I was upgraded to a private suite. It’s a pleasant place, but the facilities were just okay and didn’t include the amenities I’d expect at a five-star hotel.

What stood out most was how personal the service felt. The staff remembered my name and preferences, and made me feel welcome and valued. They were friendly and attentive the whole time. Shaligram Hotel & Spa is in a beautiful area with lovely views of the surrounding hills, and my room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The spa was also excellent, and I found the experience deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. The restaurant had a good range of tasty dishes, and the breakfast buffet was a highlight, with lots of choice and fresh ingredients. I had an amazing stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious getaway. Thanks to the team for making it so memorable.
