The location is a real plus, close to the cultural heritage site and market. The owner and caretaker were both helpful and gave good guidance. The owner even messaged to check where I was and point me toward Lumbini landmarks. My room was a good size, and the bathroom was neat and clean, though the furniture looked aged. Hot water worked in one bathroom but not the other. The neighborhood could get noisy at random times. I stayed on the first floor, so it may be difficult for anyone with knee problems. The power cuts happened several times a day during my week there, so the AC was unusable. On my last two days, renovations in the neighboring rooms also made things disruptive. There was noise, furniture sometimes blocked my door, and my sandals ended up buried under construction materials. The family was lovely, though. The man and several relatives were very helpful with my questions, including spending quite a while trying to reach the bus company about a ticket refund.

I was happy staying here. The owner let me leave my belongings for a while, and the owner and staff were very kind. For the price, the room was good enough for me. The windows all had mosquito nets, and I made sure to keep the door shut, so I didn't have any mosquito trouble.

The stairs are the main drawback since there's no lift, though the owner arranged for someone to carry our luggage up to the rooms. Everything else was positive. The owner was friendly and checked on our arrival before we got there. It's very close to the Maya Devi temple, and the spacious rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The mattresses and pillows were comfortable, and the bed linen and towels were fresh. They provided a complimentary bottle of water and toiletries. There are several restaurants nearby, including pure vegetarian places.
