The staff were welcoming, polite, and ready to help with anything we needed. Our room at Hotel Zambala Lumbini was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, and the food was tasty. The service overall was excellent. Its convenient location near the sacred Lumbini Garden made it a good base for visiting the spiritual sites. A nice choice for relaxing as well as pilgrimage visits. Highly recommended for a Lumbini trip!

The fish itself was nice, but the order was a mess. I got 10 small pieces of breaded fish, with no chips or vegetables, and had to ask twice before those were brought out. The chips were hard and undercooked, and the tartare sauce had boiled egg in it, which was bizarre and unpleasant. The green salad was tiny and missing an ingredient. It took 45 minutes just to get the drinks, and the 'homemade' lemon soda was club soda with some lemon juice squeezed in. I'd ordered breaded fish with chips and butter vegetables, a green salad, Sprite, and that soda. Wouldn't recommend.

I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. This was the most I'd spent on a hotel in Nepal, and it was a bad experience. The room wasn't the cleanest, and the Wi-Fi only worked well in the lobby. It was extremely noisy at night, and when I brought it up, the owner did little.

The owner's manner was somewhat rude. The rooms also weren't very clean or hygienic, and they felt less spacious than rooms at other hotels nearby.

They say there's a breakfast buffet, but it was nowhere near that. A cup of instant coffee cost 200 rupees and one boiled egg was 150. Absolutely insane. There was no respect for tourists and pilgrims. Highly not recommended.
