The host was really nice, and the village location is lovely. From Gandhruk, it takes about a 30-minute uphill walk to get there. We could see Annapurna and Machupuchhre right from the courtyard, and there’s also a unit with traditional Gurung dress. A very good homestay, with great food.

The mountain views and quiet surroundings were beautiful. It felt like a genuine family stay, with warm hospitality, clean and comfortable rooms, and delicious homemade food.

We’d already paid everything we owed, but when we came back from a short trek to collect our bags, the aunty demanded full payment for food we hadn’t ordered. The night before, a local person who was with the aunty/owner had offered us just 1-2 bites as a friendly taste. It felt like they were working together, and she wouldn’t return our bags unless we paid. Since we had no choice if we wanted our belongings back, it felt like money was being forced out of us. A very disappointing experience. I strongly recommend avoiding this place and not leaving your belongings there or trusting them with anything.

Ama is very sweet and nice, but she seemed to be the only one handling everything and making an effort. I felt the place was overhyped, and some of the staff were rude. Better service and proper management could definitely improve the guest experience.

The price is reasonable, and we had a good experience with the hospitality and food. Just make sure the booking is properly confirmed, since sometimes they book two groups into the same room.
