The food was the one real bright spot. The hotel has a lot of potential, but the poor upkeep and management show in many places. I had to switch rooms because water was leaking from the AC and could have pooled on the floor. The basement corridors smelled strongly of mold, and the AC in the large, spacious hall dripped onto the carpet until it was completely wet by the end of the day, which could lead to mold. The area outside the hall also lacked basic cleanliness. Neglect was obvious throughout, as the photos show. We were looking forward to the swimming pool, but the water looked too dirty for us to risk using it. Aside from a few exceptions, service was really bad. The waiters and reception staff need better customer service training. It felt as if the owner hadn’t visited in decades. The hotel needs major improvements to compete with other places in the area.

Does any room have a jacuzzi bathtub?

The hotel does a great job reflecting the history of the Rana regime, when Rana rulers governed the country. I liked it a lot. The rooms and food were good for the price, too. It could use a few upgrades to reach the next level, but I’d recommend it.
