Hotel Lake Palace

We were made to leave at 1 AM and look for somewhere else to stay, which felt unsafe and stressful for four girls. We'd called ahead and confirmed a room for four with two double beds, and had told the hotel we'd arrive around midnight. Our vehicle broke down, so we got there an hour late. After we'd knocked and called for several minutes, the owner opened the door and didn't seem welcoming. We asked politely during check-in whether we could leave the door open while we went out to get dinner because we were hungry. She didn't acknowledge the question, and we assumed she was tired. The room had only two single beds, completely unsuitable for us. When we went down to ask about it, the owner showed little concern. She said staff had told her to give us that room, claimed she'd assumed we'd adjust because we were an hour late, and denied responsibility even though the booking had been confirmed. There was no apology or offer to fix things. As we were leaving, she casually said “Baba kina risaako?” and brushed off our concerns as “Gen Z behavior,” which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. The room and service weren't worth the price. I'd urge others to avoid this hotel, especially if guest safety, professionalism, and basic hospitality matter to you.
