We booked a room a full day ahead, but when we got there with our family, they told us to wait for check-in as though the reservation didn’t matter. There was no responsibility, professionalism or basic courtesy. After a tiring journey, their poor management left us hauling our luggage from one hotel to another to find somewhere to stay. Being stuck there with family and bags, treated as if our time and comfort counted for nothing, was awful. A hotel that can’t honor confirmed bookings shouldn’t accept bookings. Between the incompetence, false commitments and complete mismanagement, I’d tell people to stay away if they don’t want their trip ruined.

The hotel is near the center of Pokhara, and the mountain view is great. My room was clean and comfortable, the Wi-Fi was fast and breakfast was really nice. The staff were friendly, especially the manager Ser. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel M&D and will definitely come back next time.

The meals were excellent, from breakfast through dinner, fresh, flavorful and nicely presented. There was a good range for adults and kids, and the dining area stayed clean and inviting. It’s especially good for families, with a relaxed, friendly feel, kid-friendly food choices and clean, safe shared areas. The location was peaceful but still convenient for nearby attractions, shops and restaurants. Everyone on staff was warm, welcoming and eager to help, and it was clear they care about guests. We had a fantastic stay from start to finish. I highly recommend it for the service, food, family-friendly atmosphere and genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be back.

A pretty average hotel with average rooms and service, though the staff are friendly. They gave me a terrace room, and I could see the macchapuchre Himal clearly in the morning.
