My mom normally takes hotels in stride, but after one night here she specifically asked me to leave a bad review. She didn’t like the room at all: the WiFi and AC didn’t work, and there was no hot shower water, only warm. For the same price, Pokhara Alpine and Springs next door had much better food and service.

The staff were all friendly and the hospitality was so good. My husband, parents, and I had a comfortable, pleasant stay for two nights. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.

We spent two days in a lake view family room, and it was one of our best hotel stays. The staff were well behaved and helpful, and the services we needed were available. There’s an elevator too. The location is on Lakeside’s main market road, with all kinds of restaurants nearby. The food was tasty and excellent, and room service was prompt. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, travel desk, and everything you need.

The location, room, and breakfast all suited our stay really well. We’re especially grateful to Kripa for going the extra mile and keeping our valuables safe while we were away on our ABC trek. Thanks to Kripa, Nancy, the restaurant team, and all the Portland Hotel staff for their hospitality and great service. They made our stay memorable.

The property was well maintained and had a nice atmosphere, especially from the balcony. My room was clean, and the location matched Google Maps. The receptionists were welcoming when I arrived at night and again in the morning, and the staff were helpful too. I stayed one night and had a really good time.
