Durban was such a friendly, kind host, and the price was great. Our top-floor room was spotless and had a towel, mirror, bin, working locks on every window, plenty of outlets, and a ceiling fan. There wasn’t a bathroom in the room, so we had to go down two floors, but it was still well worth it.

The kitchen is handy if you want to cook for yourself, and there are lots of nearby shops selling fruit and vegetables. Our room was clean and really well looked after. The staff were lovely, always ready to help and care about whatever you needed.

This was my second time staying here. It’s in a quiet area, though still close enough to walk to Lakeside, and the room was clean and well equipped. The price is great for what you get, and the owner’s warm hospitality and kindness made the stay especially nice.

The lodge is run by Dhruba, who’s easily the best host in Pokhara. It belongs to a Swiss ngo that houses and teaches orphans in Nepal, and you sometimes see the young, cheerful kids around. Dhruba also looks after the guesthouse and vegetable garden, so you might get organic lemongrass tea or a huge cucumber picked fresh from the garden.

Really lovely owner, nice rooms, and a very peaceful setting. I liked it much more than Lakeside.
