Hotel Santana

We brought our bikes and were able to leave them somewhere safe. The lake, shops, and restaurants are only a few meters away, and there’s a small climbing garden across the street. The owners helped us with everything we needed, and you can hang out on the roof terrace without having to buy anything. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet. Best place we’ve stayed on our trip through Nepal so far, and the prices are very reasonable. Thanks for everything!

You’re close to everything in Pokhara here, but the place is tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The roof terrace has a lake view, and there are hot showers. Our bright bedroom had a comfortable bed, and the owners were lovely and happy to help with anything. Definitely recommend staying here.

We left after one night, even though the owner had agreed that we could change hotels. The room was dirty and so cramped there was hardly room to move. The toilet was tiny too, and sitting properly on the seat was difficult. No drinking water, tissues, shampoo, or other basic items were provided. At 10:55 in the morning, a man came to the room and rudely threatened that we had to leave by 11 or be charged for another day. We understood checkout to be at 12. It was a very bad experience. Be careful if the owner offers to pick you up at Pokhara bus stand.

For about 7 dollars, we got a double room, and it was clean. The attached bathroom had a nice hot shower, though towels and toilet paper weren’t included. The location is handy for Lakeside and popular places to eat, including Vegan Way and Little Windows. Wi-Fi mostly didn’t work, but I had a Nepalese Simcard and didn’t mind. They do laundry, which is useful after hiking, and can book taxis, paragliding, and flight tickets too.
