Nepali Cottage Guest House

A great place, with friendly people who make everything easy. Wendy Juice Shop, which is connected to the guest house, serves delicious food at low prices. The shower has great pressure and hot water. It’s central, clean, and cheap, all the things I wanted.

We’ve stayed here twice and found it safe and peaceful for our family. Loved the courtyard and the cat, and the juice bar out front makes a great breakfast. They stored our gear while we were trekking and let us check in exceptionally early when we arrived. Amazing service. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere quieter in a lively location.

We got plenty of sun at the guest house and its attached cafe, which was lovely in the good weather. The place sits on a quieter road with a backyard that keeps the noise down, yet all the activity of Lakeside is within an easy walk. Wendy's Café doubles as reception, and the helpful staff can share useful information. There’s also an office for arranging tours and travel tickets. The cafe food is really good and well prepared. We enjoyed the buckwheat avocado toast with egg, and the Buddha Bowl was a treat for dinner. If you’re staying longer, there’s a wide selection of English and French books to read for fun or a bit of food for thought.

The rooms were just right, and the cafe was great too. I especially liked how fresh the juices were and how good the coffee was. The manager and staff were friendly and helpful, and the hospitality made the whole stay feel really warm.
