New Hotel Castle

A short walk takes you to the lake or up the mountain for a Himalayan view, so the location was great for exploring Lakeside. The team were warm and hospitable, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was scrumptious, though it's also a treat to visit the nearby bakery and coffee shop "Tiny Yeti".

Amy and Paul are lovely, caring hosts, and their three children are lovely too. They give great service and help with whatever you need. The local Nepali staff are just as kind and helpful. The breakfast menu has plenty of choice, the coffee is great, and the bakery items from their Tiny Yeti bakery are delicious. The hotel feels like a warm, friendly home away from home, with clean rooms, hot water, and good internet. It's close to Lakeside, shops, and places to eat, but the area is quiet near the foot of a hillside. The lake is about 5-6 minutes away on foot. I always enjoy coming home to New Hotel Castle when I'm in Pokhara.

The bakery items are a real favorite of mine, especially the cheese cake and velvet cookies. New Hotel Castle is American owned, and the service is very good. It has a homey feel throughout. If you get the chance to try it, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Highly recommend it.

A lovely hidden gem, close to Lakeside but tucked into a quiet area. I stayed for a month and always had hot water and internet. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the owner was caring and ready to help whenever I needed it. I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely come back.
