We spent four days in a roomy cottage with a garden terrace, above Pokhara Lake. It was my first trip to Nepal, and this lovely place made the stay feel special. By the end, I felt like part of the castle's family. Thanks for those wonderful days.

The grounds are lovely, with natural scenery, views on every side, a medium-sized pool, and cheerful staff. Food and drinks were a letdown, though. Beer was 700 and cola 100 at the bar, which felt ridiculously expensive. The dal bhat cost 450, wasn't very good, and arrived at room temperature because they didn't use heating candles for the buffet. When the restaurant and bar were closing, the owner got curt and somewhat rude about asking people to leave.

The Castle Resort is far enough from Pokhara's crowds, smells, and noise to feel peaceful, while still close to everything you come for. If you find it, it feels like paradise. I hope it makes it through the Covid crisis. After meeting Sofia and Joe, who run the place, you'll have another reason to return to Pokhara whenever you visit Nepal.

A calm, peaceful place. They were pioneers in bringing tourism to Pokhara in harmony with nature 25 years ago. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet stay.

The garden and pool are beautiful, and the views are lovely. John and Sophie, the proprietors, were friendly and very helpful. Rooms in the "towers" are quite small.
