Hotel Orchid

The mountain views and flower-filled garden were the best part of my relaxing stay at Hotel Orchid. It’s on a quiet, peaceful street, but the lakeside is just a 5-minute walk away. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were really helpful and friendly when arranging local tours. Good value for the money. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was fantastic, and the ground-floor dining area gives you a view of Mt. Fishtail. The hotel also has a restaurant, though we didn’t eat lunch or dinner there because of our schedule, so I can’t say how those are. It’s on the lake side 7th Street, just 2 mins from lake side, and the rooms are great, with good facilities and comfort for a budget price.

The manager went out of his way to make our stay nice, helping us get a bus ticket and sorting out several other things. The hotel is clean and pleasant, and breakfast had a good range, from continental and Indian choices to smaller things like porridge with banana. Lunch and dinner were tasty too. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the lake, and on a clear day you can spot the Annapurna Range from the window or balcony. The rooms lose a star from me because we saw a few cockroaches. If you don’t mind that, it could easily be five stars. Greetings from Germany.

A peaceful place near the lake, with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The food was average, but decent for this location. A little more professionalism from the staff would improve the experience. Still, a good hotel in lakeside.
