Bardia Kingfisher Resort

The food and accommodation were both really nice. I spent four nights here and went on two safaris with Jack, an excellent guide. Thanks to him, seeing tigers, elephants, and so many other animals in the beautiful jungle became an unforgettable experience. Thank you all for such a wonderful time!

We were the only guests at the resort, and Pratap, Jack, and the rest of the staff looked after us so well throughout the trip. Jack and Pratap made a great guide and driver team. They were proper guides, focused on finding animals respectfully, without using phones, and keeping disturbance to a minimum. We didn’t see a tiger this time, but that wasn’t down to a lack of effort or skill. We were lucky enough to have an amazing encounter with a rhino that we’ll never forget, and plenty of birds, monkeys, bugs, and other animals kept us engaged during the search for tigers. We had a wonderful time and hope to return in dry season to find one!

My guides’ expertise helped me see tigers, rhinos, elephants, and several kinds of deer, birds, and monkeys. Bardia Kingfisher Resort was clean and comfortable, and communication was clear and helpful. I’d recommend booking your stay and activities there. Special thanks to my guides, co-owner Pratap, and his wife, who made the best chicken curry I had in Nepal.

The food was delicious, everyone was so friendly and kind, and the garden was a peaceful place to rest after safari. I went on jeep safari for four days, from morning until night each day, with Jack as our guide. The jungle is huge, and the experience felt completely uncommercialized. We saw elephants, deer, Rinoh, and hornbill. Jack treated us like old friends even though we’d only just met. It was such an enjoyable trip, and I’m happy to have made friends from abroad. The stay left me feeling refreshed, and I really want to come back. Getting there wasn’t easy, and our first day’s flight was canceled, so I’d had high expectations. The resort exceeded them. The room was clean, nothing was broken, and there was nothing unpleasant about it. The setting in magnificent nature was lovely, and the garden was especially comfortable and peaceful. Five stars don’t feel like enough for the service.
