Arrowtown Motel

We came for a family wedding, our first stay here, and would love to return. We had the house and a two-bedroom apartment for all of us, including four young grandchildren. It felt like home, cosy, clean, thoughtfully set up and tastefully decorated. The outdoor space was great, and the lawn was lovely for the kids. The area was quiet and peaceful, with FourSquare a few minutes' walk away and Arrowtown centre about 10 minutes away. Ayrbyrn and Milbrook were a short drive to the venues. There's a bus stop outside if needed, and getting to Frankton by bus was easy. Frankton and the airport were about a 20-minute drive. Thank you, Deb.

Probably the nicest motel room I've stayed in anywhere in New Zealand. It was roomy, modern and carefully designed, with great attention to detail. The motel is a minute's walk from the local grocery store, close to the historic township, and about a 20-minute drive from Queenstown. Arrowtown itself is lovely. If you want somewhere quiet, pleasant and affordable near Queenstown, this is a great option.

We spent six nights here and were really happy with our choice. The apartment was clean and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable, and we made good use of the outdoor table and chairs in the evenings. We got a warm welcome, with coffee and milk on arrival. Apartment 3 is near the Adamson Drive entrance, up two flights of outdoor stairs, in a very quiet residential neighbourhood about a 15-minute walk from the centre. The supermarket and the No. 4 bus stop for Queenstown are only five minutes away on foot. Highly recommend it as a base for exploring the area.

The manager was very helpful, and the studio apartments were clean, comfortable and modern. Arrowtown Village is about a ten-minute walk away. A few drawbacks: the walls don't block sound very well, the WiFi can be patchy, and the price is on the high side.
