Bellas Bed and Breakfast

Sandra and Doug made us feel welcome during our Mother's Day weekend at Franklin38. We chose it after reading the other excellent reviews, and the stay was memorable. The hosts had thought through all the little details: the decor was stylish yet calming, the linens and pillows were comfortable, and we slept perfectly. Organic tea and coffee, a well-stocked fridge with mineral water, snacks and chocolates, Ashley and co soaps and shampoos, and fluffy towels all made us feel pampered. Breakfast was excellent, with the best eggs we've had at a BnB. We enjoyed asking the hosts over breakfast where to eat and what to see in the region. Having free secure parking in the central city was a bonus, and we could leave the car and walk to nearby restaurants. We hope to return to Franklin 38 next time we're in Auckland.

The room and whole house were spotless, beautifully kept, and made us feel at home. Every detail seemed carefully considered, and breakfast was outstanding, made with real care. Our hosts were warm, kind, and attentive from the start, and you could feel how much effort and love they put into the place. We were so happy there and couldn't have asked for a better stay. Sandra and Doug have done a fantastic job renovating this historic property. The decor and furnishings are beautiful, and Sandra was a great host, serving breakfast and helping out. I stayed in the Harbour View Suite, though I'm sure the other rooms are just as lovely. A superb B&B, one of the best I've stayed in. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Auckland.

The room was lovely, with beautiful decor, a really comfortable bed, and a large bathroom. It was the only place in New Zealand where we had a chair for sitting down to dry hair or do makeup, which was a definite plus. Our outside balcony had Auckland views and was especially nice at night with a glass of wine. There was also a modern, beautifully decorated guest lounge downstairs. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty, with continental options too. We enjoyed the little treats on the tea tray in our room. Sandra and Doug were wonderful hosts. There are lots of good places to eat within walking distance, though some are uphill. Sidart was a fantastic meal. We'd recommend staying here over any big hotel. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
