Marleen and Anthony were fantastic hosts, so welcoming and full of helpful tips on places to visit, eat, and shop. Eden park is close enough to walk to, and the city is nearby without being right on top of you. The house is stunning, clean, and well maintained, with a lovely garden and a great deck at each end. Breakfast was beautifully laid out every morning, the food was divine, and we had great conversations with the other travellers. Pippa the pup and Louie the cat were friendly and very quiet. We spent two nights here and came home relaxed and happy after a perfect weekend. We’d gladly book again.

The location is handy, with a two minute walk to Eden Park and an easy walk to restaurants and a supermarket. Breakfast was freshly cooked, homemade, and delicious, with great coffee. The accommodation is beautifully styled, and the bed was super comfortable, like a cloud. The bathrooms were lovely, with bath robes, hand cream, a hair dryer, and a towel rail, plus a delicious treat. The owners were amazing, so welcoming and knowledgeable about Auckland. I loved the furry family members, Miss Pippa the small dog and Louie the cat. They were cuddly and well behaved, and you barely knew they were in the house.

The rooms were quiet and comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of options for different tastes. Our host also shared tips on things to do and good restaurants. The owners are lovely people, and I’d definitely recommend this b&b.

The guests lounge was a relaxing place to sit, and Mr Darcy gave the stay a special touch. Marlene and Tony were wonderful hostesses. Our Cream Room was pleasant and had everything laid out, even a hair dryer. We could help ourselves to tea and coffee, and buy beer or wine for a small fee. There were cookies with our cuppa, and breakfast was amazing, with everything you could want. I’ll go again.

We stayed in the cream room from 19th to 24th January 2023, and absolutely loved it. It was spotless, with so much attention to detail. Marlene and Anthony were superb hosts, and the breakfast was delicious with an abundance of choice. I’d highly recommend staying here. ❤️
