The room was big and spacious, and we loved it!

The staff have been lovely every time, and it’s clear they care about giving good service. My wife and I stayed here last year, and it gave us the best sleep of our trip. We knew straight away we wanted to return for the very comfortable beds, beautiful furnishings, and how clean and brand new the hotel felt. It’s a really high quality place, and I can’t recommend it enough.

There’s a restaurant in the hotel, though we didn’t eat there. Breakfast costs $45, and with so many good cafes around town and the city fringe, I’d probably look elsewhere first. The room itself was comfortable, with a smart bathroom and really good blackout curtains. Free coffee was a nice extra, and the staff were friendly. Check-in and checkout were easy. A couple of things could be clearer: there were no obvious signs showing which bar drinks cost extra, and we had to ask reception for water. Our window looked straight at a nearby TV station building, close enough that people could see into the room if we left the blinds open.

The room was amazing, with lovely facilities and special Christmas treats. I thought Horizon by SkyCity felt like an experience, not just somewhere to spend one night, and I’ll be back. Even before we got upstairs, the service impressed us: the valet took meticulous care of our car, greeted us warmly and whisked our luggage up with no fuss. The foyer was beautifully arranged, with a Christmas tree to one side. At the main desk, a young woman was calm, charming and capable, and gave us a friendly welcome. Thanks so much!
