Willie, the new manager, was friendly and accommodating, and the whole unit was very clean and quiet. The bed was big and comfortable, with lovely clean cotton sheets. Everything was easy to access on the ground floor. The kitchen was well equipped, and having a little freezer in the fridge was useful since we’re travelling with food. We had a great night, will be back, and recommend this motel to travellers.

The only disappointment was that the pool is closed because of complaints from neighbours. Otherwise, this traditional motel was peaceful, clean, and conveniently close to town. We arrived with a sick child and appreciated the spacious, well-equipped rooms, especially the kitchen, and the lovely woman at reception. The river walkway is a worthwhile outing, just a five-minute walk away.

Sue and Colin manage the Motel Apartments and were happy to welcome us even after late flights. The place is very functional and clean, and there’s a good choice of rooms if you book early. It’s convenient for drivers, about 11 minutes from the airport and eight minutes from central Blenheim.
