Leamington Spa Motel

The kids loved cooling off in the pool on a very hot day, and Lucy, the "house dog," is adorable. It’s great to find somewhere that’s genuinely dog friendly, with personable service, a convenient location, good prices, and clean, tidy rooms. The beds will suit you if you like them firm. In our studio, the single sofa bed probably worked better for a young person than an adult. Some recent renovation work looks a bit rushed in the superficial areas. The main thing that seemed skimped on was a shower vent fan. We’d definitely recommend it.

There aren’t many extras, but it’s good, basic accommodation, well equipped, clean, and comfortable. We also appreciated a few Sky TV Sport channels, and our unit at the back, away from the street, was nice and quiet. The only significant downside was the terrible water pressure in the sparkling clean bathroom. It’s good value, though, and we’d be very happy to stay again.

This made a great base for day rides on the Waikato River Trails, with a superb location for that. The rooms were clean, nicely furnished, and well equipped, in a quiet spot a short drive from Cambridge. Recommended, and I’ll return.

We’ve stayed here twice, my partner, our baby, and me, and loved it. It’s peaceful, inviting, and relaxing, with tidy surroundings, comfortable beds, and a lovely cool pool for a hot day. The owners are bubbly and polite, and the price is competitive. It had everything we could ask for. I’d recommend staying here if you need somewhere in Cambridge.
