We walked 15 minutes to the train station on flat sidewalks, past houses and a shopping center and over the tracks. We walked both ways in the rain, so the location only works as a plus if you’re set on avoiding transport costs. Christchurch can be cold and rainy even in the height of summer. Inside, the kitchenette and tea and coffee were nice, but there was hardly room to move, and one bedroom had no windows. The bedroom doors swing shut unless held open by a doorstop, and I couldn’t work out the living room lamp. The king bed was two doubles pushed together, with a huge seam I fought all night. The beds were otherwise pretty comfortable and the pillows decent. Staff had left our key out when we arrived late, which made getting in easy. It’s okay for a night’s sleep, but not somewhere I’d stay again.

The kitchenette was handy, with a quiet fridge, small jug and microwave, and everything was clean and comfortable. We had a super king room and loved both the bed and the large shower. It’s on a main road, but was quite quiet. Very close to Woolfbrook Arena.

We stayed here for an Ed Sheeran concert and loved it. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with comfy beds and a huge shower with great pressure. I’ll definitely recommend this place to everyone.

The front desk gentleman was kind and helpful, and there were convenience stores nearby where we picked up a light breakfast. We had an early departure for the train station and managed to walk there easily with all our luggage. I’d recommend staying here if you need somewhere near the railway.

There was plenty of room, plus a patio, desk and Sky TV. The place felt modern and fresh, and the bed was great. The shower was big with fantastic water pressure. Highly recommend.
