Deans Bush Motel

This is my usual choice when I travel over from the west coast. The hosts are very accommodating, and the situation is great, opposite Westfield mall. Getting to and from the airport is easy, as is the trip into the city centre. The rooms are clean and have everything you need.

The owners and staff are kind and friendly every time we stay, which is why we love coming back to Deans Bush. The location is great, and the rooms are clean and have everything we need. Thanks, Deans Bush Motel. We’ll be back!

I stayed for two days in November 2024 and had a late checkout. As it was my first time in Christchurch, I really appreciated how helpful the staff were, and they made the stay great. The location is fantastic, with good bus routes to the airport, the city, and further afield. Riccarton Mall is literally across the road, which made it easy to pick up supplies and cook for myself in the self-contained room. I’d definitely recommend Dean Bush Motel. Call them directly for the best deal instead of using a booking app.

Whenever I visit Christchurch, this is my go-to. The staff are friendly, the rooms are modern, clean, and tidy, and the kitchenette has a microwave. There’s also a powerful shower, and they still give you real milk in an old-school carton at check-in, which is fantastic. Westfield shopping centre is across the road, Tokyo mart is nearby, and Riccarton restaurants are close too. There’s a bus station a short walk away, handy if you don’t have a rental car.
