Merivale Court Studio(without kitchen)

The reception staff were lovely, and the location was handy for the shops. The bathroom was clean and the room was warm, but the floor had crumbs and what looked like dog hair all over it. There were stains on the couch cushions, so I couldn't sit there. We stayed two nights. On the second day, towels were left on the couch, which was fine, but the floor still hadn't been vacuumed. There was no milk in the fridge, even though we'd left two milk pods there. We also didn't get fresh soap or shampoo, and the bed wasn't made. Am I expecting too much? We paid the same price for both days, with no discount for staying more than one night, so I expected the same each day rather than getting less.

We enjoyed our stay, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. Thanks for a lovely visit.

The room was spotless, and that attention to cleanliness put me at ease, especially with hygiene on my mind. It was also comfortable and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing stay. The bed was particularly comfortable, and I slept well. From the moment I arrived at Merivale, the staff greeted me warmly and professionally, which set a lovely tone for the visit.

I couldn't be happier with this motel. I booked the wrong room, and they upgraded me to one with cooking facilities. The owner was lovely too, letting me back into my room at midnight after I locked myself out. The shower and heater were nice, the facilities were great, and the bed was comfy. They don't come in for room service every morning unless you ask. Thanks, I'll book here whenever I'm in Christchurch.
