Sudima Christchurch Airport

The room was spacious enough, with a comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities, fragrant soothing toiletries, and an ironing board. The hotel is near the airport, shops, food outlets, and bus stops. Getting to the city centre by bus takes about 1/2 hour. There’s a strong Wi-Fi connection, but we couldn’t stream on the TV because there was no internet. The staff were friendly, polite, and accommodating.

The hotel’s airport location is convenient and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the shuttle will take you to or from the airport at any hour. Rooms are clean, with good air conditioning and views of greenery or the courtyard. There’s a pleasant lobby, and breakfast isn’t included, though you can buy it on the first floor. Watch out if you’re on the second floor, since some rooms can’t be reached by elevator. I’ve stayed here several years in a row, and it’s nice to see the same staff and concierge each time.

We had a spacious, comfortable room with everything we needed before an early flight. The hotel runs a 24-hour shuttle, which made it ideal for our departure. The staff also let us check in early at no extra charge, since our room was already ready when we arrived ahead of the usual 2pm check-in time. We’d only planned to leave our bags before heading to the Antarctic Centre, which is about a five-minute walk away. Afterward, we walked to a restaurant in the same complex as Woolworths, and the food was delicious. It was a smooth, pleasant stay, and we’ll definitely return.

My flight was cancelled today, and the airline arranged a stay at Sudima Hotel. I was disappointed at first, but the staff were so warm and friendly that they lifted my mood. When I got back late at night and needed help, Anderson looked after me with real kindness. He was thoughtful and attentive, and Mike was helpful too. I won’t forget Anderson, and I really appreciate the hospitality. They turned a stressful day into a surprisingly pleasant stay. Highly recommended!
