The Grange Boutique B & B and Motel

Our front room was smaller than average, but it had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and we had a good two-night stay in beautiful Christchurch. The Grange is a quaint earthquake survivor, right on the tram route, which is a must-do, and the main city-centre attractions are an easy walk away. The continental choices were limited to cereal, yogurt and fruit juice, but the hot dishes were good quality and well cooked. There was as much toast as we liked and plenty of well-made coffee options.

We stayed for two nights and everything was good. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped, breakfasts were very nice, and the location worked well for the city centre. Parking felt safe too.

We had to leave before breakfast service began, so they packed breakfast the day before and put it in the fridge. The staff also helped us find the restaurants we wanted and sort out our arrangements. The service was excellent, and the hotel is very nice, with a great location near the centre and a parking lot on top. A warm recommendation.

The mix of old and new made for a nice stay, and the location was great. We needed to extend our stay, but the front desk couldn't accommodate us because they were fully booked. They were very helpful about it, though, and honestly, it's great that they were busy. I'd definitely recommend The Grange.
